Back for year two

Every pull makes a difference

We're excited to bring back the A1 Health & Fitness Row-A-Thon for its second year. What started as an idea to bring our community together for a great workout and an even greater cause turned into something pretty incredible.

Last year, our teams came together and raised over $9,000 for suicide prevention. This year, we're ready to do even more. Every pull on the rower, every dollar raised, every raffle ticket purchased, and every person who shows up helps us make a difference.

How it works

Grab your team. Everyone is welcome.

The Row-A-Thon is open to the public. You do not need to be a member of A1 Health & Fitness to participate.

01

Build a team of three

Grab your friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, or anyone else who wants to join you.

02

Register for $20 each

Registration is $20 per person. Every registered participant receives an official Row-A-Thon event T-shirt.

03

Fundraise, then row

Raise whatever you and your team can leading up to the event, then show up on December 19 ready to pull.

You don't have to be an experienced rower or an elite athlete. This event is about coming together, challenging yourself, having a great time, and raising money for an incredible cause.

This year's cause

Supporting Chix 4 a Cause

This year, we're proud to be working with Chix 4 a Cause, an organization dedicated to helping people in our community who are battling cancer.

Our first year showed us what can happen when people come together for something bigger than themselves. Now it's time to see what we can accomplish in year two.

Not rowing? Join the fun

Raffles, gift baskets and more

You don't have to row to be part of the fun. We'll have gift baskets and prizes available to win through our event raffle. Purchase raffle tickets at the event and choose exactly which prizes you want a chance to win.

See something you really want? Put as many of your tickets as you'd like toward that basket or prize. Spread your tickets around or load them all into one. It's completely up to you.

Even if you're not competing, come out, support the teams, buy some raffle tickets, and help us raise as much money as possible.

Corporate sponsorships

Put your business behind the pull

We're offering corporate sponsorships for this year's Row-A-Thon. It's a great way to support Chix 4 a Cause and show up for the community alongside our teams.

Business sponsorships are $500. Fill out the sponsor form to get started.

Alex Kain

Owner / Head Coach / Personal Trainer

Alex Kain is the owner and started A1 Health and Fitness back in 2014. He has always been an athlete and competitor, however he discovered early in life he really enjoyed coaching. He began coaching in High School and has coached Diving, Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Nutrition, and Fitness the last 27 years. He has always enjoyed watching people succeed and lead healthy lives. Outside of the gym Alex loves travelling with his wife Jen and spending time with her and their 2 dogs.

Alex used to work at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa as an Exercise Physiologist in Cardiac Rehab. After about 2 years of working with clients who didn’t want to help themselves and wanted to take another pill to make their problems go away he realized he wanted to work with a more proactive community. This is what inspired him to open A1 Health and Fitness. He wanted to help people lose weight, get stronger, get off their medication, have their clothes fit better, gain confidence, and look better in the mirror.

When it comes to your health and fitness and wanting to make a change someone really should be all in. It takes more than just exercise, it takes more than just nutrition, for a lot of us it takes some help and accountability. Everyone needs a coach in some aspect of their life.

If you want to make a change and want to see success, then A1 has a proven method that has helped so many clients throughout the years. We will give you the right exercise to build strength, lift safely, the right nutrition to build muscle while losing fat at the same time, and the accountability to help when we are feeling defeated or want to give up. A lot of us have gone through the roller coaster of gaining weight, losing weight and then turning around to gain it all back again. A1 will help you break that cycle once and for all.
